Service Date 08/24/2024 TL;DR- Innovative Auto has Saturday hours, they can do quotes for certain services before you bring your car in, they had excellent customer service and skill, and they are significantly more affordable than the nationwide quick auto service places. Highly recommend! As anyone with a M-F, 8hr/day job can tell you, it is incredibly difficult to get any important maintenance or work done on cars except for on the weekend (usually only Saturdays). Other days, you have to figure out your schedule and can't always coordinate with others to drive you from the place after dropping off your car or picking it up. Innovative Auto Solutions was one of the few places in the Albuquerque metro area to be open on Saturday. My AC was broken and inconsistent, making things miserable this horrendously hot summer. This made it harder to go anywhere unless absolutely necessary. I had my AC flushed and refreshed at Jiffy Lube, hoping it would fix the problem, but it didn’t. I brought the car back to be seen again and get the compressor installed as soon as it opened since it's a lengthy task. The most frustrating part was not being told how much it would all cost. A couple hours or so in, I was given a quote for everything for $2,373, even after the previous work! I left as soon as I could because that amount at once is nearly unfathomable right now. Bought the compressor for my car at Auto Zone and looked for other places to service my car that weren’t fast, crazy expensive shops like Jiffy Lube or Pep Boys. The only other places available on the weekend or Monday required me to bring in the car for them to look at before giving a quote, but my ride situation was still difficult and the shops couldn’t give any estimate for me whatsoever. I called Innovative Auto and asked if they could give me a quote for my make and model, already having the compressor, and their general hours of labor. They were the only shop able to give me a quote before even bringing it in, which was the best time and cost saver!! They were super busy and fully booked, so I scheduled on Saturday at opening time several weeks in advance, hopefully in time for other scheduled travel plans so I wouldn't melt in my car. I eventually got the quote and breathed a huge sigh of relief to a quote closer to $900. I was told that there wasn't a warranty for if I brought in the part myself (compressor) and things went wrong, but because of the price I got it at, I was willing to go for it. I was called by the amazing front desk fellow (I wish I remember his name! He was so helpful, funny and caring) closer to my appointment date to figure out final details, and that was when I learned that Innovative Auto gets their parts from Auto Zone, so I wouldn’t have to worry about the wrong part messing things up! Day of, I finally had rides to and from figured out, and I was fortunate to make some extra money to afford the service cost. I dropped my car off as soon as they let me walk inside and they gave me a timeframe of up to the whole business day. Was brought back home, and perhaps 3 or 4 hours early, I was called and the car was finished! The AC has worked excellent since. The total for all parts and service was under $1400 compared to the $2,373 that Jiffy Lube offered. I HAVE to try them out again next time my car needs help, because the whole process had people with excellent service. Thank you!!!
